Senior Care Mediation

Senior Care Mediation

Our Mission Is To Promote And Provide Collaborative Problem-Solving Processes Throughout Montgomery County.

Senior care mediation is a specialized form of conflict resolution that addresses disputes involving the care and well-being of elderly individuals.

By bringing together all parties involved in a senior care dispute, mediation can help facilitate open communication, understanding, and cooperation, leading to a resolution that prioritizes the best interests of the elder involved.

CRCMC has several volunteer mediators who have been specially trained to mediate these cases.

A relatively new program for CRCMC, this provides specially trained mediators to help participants resolve family issues involving health care directives, assisted living/nursing home preferences, and decisions that are difficult for seniors and their families to make.

To request services you may call us at 301-652-0717, Monday – Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm, or submit a request.

Benefits of Senior Care Mediation:

  • Focused on the elder’s well-being: Mediation aims to prioritize the best interests of the senior involved.
  • Time-saving: Mediation can resolve disputes more quickly than court proceedings.
  • Confidential: Mediation discussions are private and not part of the public record.
  • Preserves relationships: Mediation encourages open communication, which can help maintain family and professional relationships.

By embracing mediation as a conflict resolution tool, families and care providers can work together to prioritize the best interests of the elder involved while maintaining relationships and fostering cooperation.

As you navigate the challenges of senior care, consider mediation as an effective, compassionate, and practical solution for addressing and resolving disputes that may arise.
